1. Chilli Paneer – Cooked by Head Chef Ramesh

What It Tastes Like

Chilli Paneer is a delicious dish that is ideal for any cheese lovers in your party. Whilst the dish has the taste and consistency of cheese, it has a spicy sauce. You’ll enjoy the flavours of pepper, garlic and chillies in every bite you take.

Ingredients

  • Indian cheese cubes
  • Soy sauce
  • Garlic
  • Peppers
  • Chilli
  • Corn flour
  • Spring onions

How Is Chilli Paneer Made?

Head Chef Ramesh begins by mixing the paneer balls with corn flour, which are then fried in a pan until they are brown. The peppers and garlic are then cooked separately before the soy sauce and fried cheese are added back into the mix. Within a few minutes, all of the flavours combine to create our delicious Chilli Paneer.

Why Our Customers Love This Dish

Chilli Paneer is a popular dish from our starter menu and is suitable for vegetarians. This dish is ideal for sharing and you’ll be surprised how much flavour each bite has to offer.

2. Chilli Garlic Mushrooms – Cooked by Head Chef Ramesh and Chef Kumar

This dish offers so much more than your typical mushroom dish. Each button mushroom is covered in a spicy soy sauce. You’ll taste the rich flavours of garlic, peppers and chillies in every bite.

Ingredients

  • Button mushrooms
  • Soy sauce
  • Garlic
  • Peppers
  • Chillies
  • Corn flour
  • Flour
  • Spring onions

  • Chilli powder

How Are Chilli Garlic Mushrooms Made?

Chef Kumar begins by coating the button mushrooms in batter and frying them. From there, Head Chef Ramesh takes over by transferring the mushrooms into a pan with the sauce.

Why Our Customers Love This Dish

This is another great vegetarian dish that is ideal for sharing at the start of your meal. Our customers love how much flavour each mushroom has, and the spicy soy sauce complements the fried mushrooms perfectly.

3. Mixed Tandoori Grill – Cooked by Chef Kumar

What It Tastes Like

This meat starter is ideal for sharing and offers a wide variety of flavours. Each type of meat is marinated in tandoori spice, so you’ll enjoy the tastes of ground spice, ginger, garlic and onion with each bite.

Ingredients

  • Lamb chops
  • Seekh kebab
  • Tandoori chicken
  • Chicken tikka
  • Chicken wings
  • Onions
  • Tandoori spice

How Is the Mixed Tandoori Grill Made?

Before any cooking can begin, Chef Kumar covers all of the meats in a marinade made from tandoori spice. The meat is placed into the tandoor to cook with the timings varying slightly for each meat. Meanwhile, a bed of fried onions is prepared for the meat to be placed on before serving.

Why Our Customers Love This Dish

This is the most popular meat starter on our menu due to its size, making it the perfect sharing starter. The combination of the meats, perfectly seasoned with the tandoori spice, makes this a plate that our customers return to over and over again.

4. Chilli Garlic Mogo – Cooked by Head Chef Ramesh

What It Tastes Like

Our Chilli Garlic Mogo is tossed with garlic as it’s cooked to give it a rich flavour. The mogo cassava chips may remind you slightly of plantain, but they absorb all of the sauce’s flavour whilst cooking.

Ingredients

  • Cassava
  • Garlic
  • Oil
  • Onions
  • Chillies

How Is Chilli Garlic Mogo Made?

Head Chef Ramesh begins by boiling the cassava. They are then dried out to create chips before being coated in the garlic and secret sauce.

Why Our Customers Love This Dish

If you are looking for an exotic starter to begin your dining experience, this is the perfect vegetarian choice. They are easy to share and are a little lighter than some of the other starters on our menu. If you are saving room for your curry, you’ll find this to be a great way to start your meal.

5. Plain, Garlic and Peshwari Naan – Cooked by Chef Rambhai

Naan Tandor

What It Tastes Like

You’ve most likely tasted naan bread before, but we believe our naan is one of the best you’ll ever try. The plain naan is a soft and delicious bread that is perfect for those looking for a classic side dish. The garlic naan offers additional flavour on the top, perfect for garlic lovers. For something a little different, Peshwari naan is filled with desiccated coconut, sultanas and almonds.

Ingredients

The ingredients will vary depending on the type of naan you order, but you can expect Chef Rambhai to use a combination of the following:

  • Yeast
  • Caster sugar
  • White bread flour
  • Baking powder
  • Ghee or butter
  • Natural yoghurt
  • Nigella seeds

How Is Naan Made?

As with any bread, Chef Rambhai begins by creating a dough. The dough is kneaded before being left to rise. It is then divided up into portions and made into the classic teardrop shape. Naan bread is cooked in a tandoor for just a few minutes on each side before serving. Check out this video of Chef Rambhai at work creating our naan bread.

Why Our Customers Love This Dish

Our customers love the variety of naan bread we offer on our menu. Our naan is always served fresh from the tandoor and is the perfect accompaniment for any of our curries or main courses.
